A loud knock on the door roused Zachary from his sleep. He nearly believed it was a dream, but he also noticed Scarlett waking up and making adjustments. The knock sounded once more, reinforcing the reality of the situation. He pressed his lips to Scarlett's forehead before heading to the door to see who was knocking at such an early hour. 

He swung the door open right as Shawn was about to knock once more, and a frown of annoyance appeared on his face. 

“What is it? What the fuck are you doing here so early?" he questioned. Shawn began to say something but quickly closed his mouth, looking him over from up to down and then back up again. 

His eyes widened in remorse. "I apologize for the interruption, my king, but it is urgent that you come downstairs; there is grave news." He informed them and turned away from the entrance.
