Chapter 42

Shawn guided the path back from the waterfall, with Scarlett trailing behind him, remaining silent as she accompanied him on their journey. They came back from the waterfall, and there they found Zachary and Alfred, waiting at the exact place where they had concluded their journey before. They were anticipating their return. 

Upon seeing Zach, she noticed the worry etched on his face as he stood waiting for them to approach. 

"Is it done?" he inquired. Shawn acknowledged Zachary with a nod and a respectful bow of his head. 

"Indeed, it is. Dawn has rescued our world by addressing the plague at its source." He answered with a voice brimming with joy. Zachary's gaze shifted to Scarlett, filled with warmth and admiration. 

"I am at a loss for words." He spoke, and his tone conveyed sincerity. 

"There is no need for you to say anything." She responded, "This was necessary; the innocent have endured enough."
