Chapter 37. Dying

Rhea’s POV

It wasn’t that long before Mercy left my room and I was engrossed in my thoughts when I instantly felt a sharp pain around my gut. I gasped and grabbed the duvet tight and after a moment it stopped. I shrugged and shoved it away, maybe it was one of those random cramps.

I sighed and turned to the other side of the bed to have my drink, still holding the glass tumbler in my right hand. When it hit me again, harder and sharper but this time in my chest and around my stomach.

I screamed, the glass slipping out from my hold and pieces on the floor. What is happening to me? What is going on? And just like before, the pain eases off. I breathed out and shook my head, I don’t think that I have to worry about the pain. I am sure that it is one of those random cramps that happen when not having enough rest or surely, maybe due to overthinking.
