Chapter 36. Job Hunt

Alexa did not know what made her go to this particular designing company but she did and after looking through her sketches, “These are good,” the personnel manager said, nodding approvingly. “but I don’t have the final say. Keep your fingers crossed. If the chief designer likes your designs, you shall be invited for an interview.”

“Thank you very much, sir,” Alexa said, gratefully. “I shall look forward to the interview.”

The manager smiled. “Please call in the next applicant on your way out!” he said, looking into the resume of the next person.

As Alexa left, Prince Hector happened to come out of an inner office and was shocked to see her leaving. He stopped in his tracks. He didn’t know why but he just didn’t want her to see him.

‘What is SHE doing here?’ he thought and at the same time felt excited at seeing her in his company.

He watched her leave and entered the personnel manager’s office just as the next applicant was going in.
