Chapter 54. Some Good Advice

Curling up in my seat, I kick off the new shoes Harad bought me, from my feet.

He is at the wheel, we are on our way to the Kingdom. He drives at high speed, but his confidence proves that he has full control over the car. I trust him completely, he exudes a calming influence on me.

However, I remain highly conscious of the inner turmoil that is consuming him.

Harad has never made a secret of his desire to mate with me. The deal he offered earlier was definitely inappropriate, but it did expose the depth of his feelings for me. And now that we've discovered our bond as mates, Harad wishes for nothing more than my commitment to him. It seems as if he fears losing me, but such a concern is needless since the mate bond will bind both Era and me to him permanently. At least, if it is indeed as unbreakable as claimed.
