Chapter 2

“He beats me all the time, especially when I try to resist, he tried raping me earlier, but I succeeded to escape” Genie replies, and bursts into tears.

“Shhh, shhh, don't cry sweet girl, it's all alright, you'll be fine ok”? Linda utters waking up to hold her, she endeavors to console her to stop crying.

Linda holds Genie's head on her chest, passing her hand gently over her back until she stopped crying.

She has finished tending to her wound. Linda calls the hotel manager to take her to one of the hotel rooms to freshen up and rest.

Turns towards Genie, “Go freshen up, get some rest, we'll talk later, yes?”

“Yes ma'am, I can't thank you enough”, Genie replies, looking at Linda with a sorrow-filled face.

“Don't mention it, darling”, Linda replies and asks the manager who had been waiting to take her up.

Genie wakes up in the evening at about 6:00 pm, feeling much better. She goes out of her room to look for Linda, who is busy organizing the night's show.

As she steps out, she comes across one of the hotel cleaners, “Have you seen Mrs. Linda?” she asks curiously. The hotel cleaner gets mad at the fact that she's questioning her without greeting. “Don't you have any manners?” The cleaner asks her rudely.

Genie ignores her and heads for the restaurant where Miss Linda had received her. On her way down she meets the hotel manager, “Hi, have you seen Mrs. Linda anywhere?” She utters with curiosity and is directed to where she is.

“EY Genie, You're awake, how do you feel now”? Mrs. Linda sputters excited to see her better than earlier. “I feel very much ok now ma'am, but still feel some slight pains on the palm and face” Genie replies.

“Do not worry, by tomorrow you'll be fine, ok?”, Linda utters holding her jaw.

Miss Linda can't help but notice how beautiful and charming Genie is. She has a wonderful figure to seduce and attract men to her club. Linda doesn't want to take advantage of her situation. She'd rather she asks by herself.

“I can't thank you enough, Mrs. Linda, your kindness can never be repaid” Genie sputters with a warm smile on her face. “Don't mention my dear, the pleasure is all mine” Linda replies, returning the warm smile.

“So what are your plans now, Genie? Would you like to return home to your parents?”, Linda asks Obscurely. “I'd rather die than return to that house” Genie replies. “So, what do you plan to do now?”, Linda continues asking. “Can I work here with you? I can cook, clean, and do many other things here to help you” Genie responds.

“So what exactly would you like to do here, Genie? There's a lot to choose from, cleaning, cooking, dancing” Linda mutters, but is immediately cut short by Genie, “Dancing? I'm a good dancer” Genie utters avidly. “Oh, you are?”, Linda asks her excitedly. Genie affirms by shaking her head thrillingly. “That's quite a coincidence because I was looking for one more dancer for my club. Have you ever heard of pole dancing?” Linda asks curiously.

“Oh yes I have, my friends and I party a lot, it's just so sad I lost my best friend, that's why I left the comfort of my aunt's house in Bamenda, to my cruel Stepfather's house here in Douala. I've been so depressed since she died, I thought, a change of environment do me some good” replies Genie.

“Your story is quite pathetic, Genie. I'm so sorry you had to go through all that trauma. Do not worry, you will be fine, ok?” Linda utters. “Yes, thank you, ma'am” Genie responds. “You can call me Linda, You're part of the family now”, Linda sputters with a warm smile on her face.

Genie smiles back and hugs Linda. She feels so relieved being with her and has hope for a new life. “You said you lost your friend? What happened to her?” Linda asks, taking off her hands from Genie's body and pulling a desk for herself and Genie to sit on. “Yes, she took an excessive amount of d*** ov****e” Genie replies with a saddened face.

“I'm so sorry to hear that. May her soul continue to rest in peace”. “Amen,” Genie replies. “Do you do d***s?”? Linda asks Genie with peculiarity. “ I used to, but not anymore. I stopped when my friend died,” Genie acknowledges.

Linda is happy about the fact that Genie has carnal knowledge about life and can dance. She needs such highly spirited girls for her business to boom. Men love to watch beautiful, seductive, and vibrant girls such as Genie perform.

A plane arrives at the airport from the United States of America. It's Cameroon's wealthiest, most eligible bachelor; Noah Khalil; a business tycoon and philanthropist. He's come back home to celebrate his birthday and the new house he's acquired in Colorado-USA.

Noah upon arrival at the airport receives a warm welcome from some of his employees in Cameroon. The driver takes his briefcase whilst the others get his stuff from the airport workers to the car. They've come with five different luxurious cars just to pick him up.

“Welcome back sir” utters the driver as he collects his briefcase. “Yes, how are you?” he replies with a deadpan expression. “I'm very fine sir” the driver answers. As they walk to the car, Noah answers a business call that seems to have ruined his mood. He is expecting payment for a service but is rather getting excuses from the client.

The driver tries to calm him down but s viciously cut short by Noah. “Shut up and drive” he utters. “Sorry sir” the driver responds and continues to mind his business.

Minutes later Noah receives another call “Hello Noah, I've been waiting patiently for your arrival, will you see me tonight?”

utters Shirley, Noah's stalker. “Will you stop bugging me?” Noah responds angrily and cuts the call. Noah had had a one-night stand with Shirley. To Noah, it was just sex and nothing more, but to Shirley, not only did she enjoy the sex, the man is famous, wealthy, handsome, and sexy. Who will let such an eligible bachelor go?
