Chapter 38
Dilemma
Back at her homeGenie could hardly go to bed.
There was no need to ask why because it was something she had to fight with.
She was battling.
Genie lay in her bed, wide awake as her thoughts raced around her head.
She was overwhelmed with a tremendous amount of responsibility and uncertainty about the future.
Raising a child with the people who killed her parents weighed heavily on her mind; she had no idea how she was supposed to provide the support and stability needed for such a young life.
Thoughts of survival began to plague Genie.
How was she going to provide for herself and the baby? Without a job and with no money coming in, things looked bleak and Genie began to worry. What would happen if she couldn't find employment or a way to support herself?
Then Genie began to think of Noah.
She had finally found someone who could understand her but she wasn't sure if they could face the future together.
