Antonio reached into the compartment and pulled out a file, handing it to Martina. "Here, this is from Ares."

Martina took the file, her brow furrowing in confusion. "What is this?" she asked, opening it.

"Go through it," Antonio replied, keeping his eyes on the road. Martina flipped through the papers and saw a written note stating that Ares would have no further dealings with her. It was already signed by Ares. She also found an invitation to Dominic Russo's event. 

Her confusion deepened. How had Ares known she would demand this and already had it sorted?

She turned the pages back and forth, trying to make sense of it all. The signed note was exactly what she had wanted. The note clearly stated that after this deal, Ares would have no dealings with her anymore.

"How did he know?" Martina murmured to herself, feeling a mix of relief and suspicion.
