Within minutes, they were in Martina's car, driving through the city. The early morning sun cast long shadows on the streets, and the air was crisp and fresh. As they drove, the silence in the car was palpable, filled with the weight of the revelations from Mr. Hendricks.
Camila broke the silence first. "I can't believe everything Mr. Hendricks said. Your father having another wife and a daughter... it just seems unreal."
Martina gripped the steering wheel tighter, her knuckles turning white. "I know. I still can't wrap my head around it. And now, finding out that Lola has been staying at the estate and running things... it's too much."
Camila nodded. "And the condition about getting married... Did you have any idea about your father's wishes for you to reclaim the De Luca name and get married?"
"No," Martina replied, her voice tinged with frustration. "I had no clue. I distanced myself from all of it after his death, trying to build a life on my own terms. B
