Camila's eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed intently on Antonio. She wasn't satisfied with his brief response, and her expression conveyed her discontent.
The man he had been speaking with seemed to sense the tension and quickly excused himself, beating a hasty retreat.
Antonio sighed, rubbing his temples as if warding off a headache. "Just leave, she will call you," he said, his tone a mix of frustration and resignation. But Camila wasn't having it.
She stepped closer, her voice low and urgent. "Don't give me that, Antonio. I know something's wrong. Tell me the truth. What happened to Martina?"
"Martina was attacked in her house," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
