Ares shook his head slowly. “And what exactly have we been through Sophie? Tell me. I tried to allow you to prove yourself but over and over again you keep proving to me that I made a mistake listening to you that day at the restaurant."
Sophie's defiance wavered, but she still clung to her denials. “I know you don't want to admit it but you love me, Ares. You do. and you are only allowing her to come between us, can't you see what she is doing? She set me up."
Ares's expression hardened, and he crossed his arms, his gaze unwavering. "You can deny it all you want, Sophie, but I have enough proof. The police will handle the rest."
