Ares spat blood onto the ground, glaring up at Antonio. "You're a coward, Antonio. Hiding behind a gun."
Antonio laughed, a harsh, bitter sound. "Call me what you want. It doesn't change the fact that I'm in charge now."
The men watched in shock, unsure of what to do. They had never seen their leader brought so low, nor had they seen Antonio so ruthless.
Ares' eyes blazed with a mixture of anger and resolve. "You are a dead man."
Antonio's smile was cold and calculating. He swung his fist again, landing another hard punch across Ares's face. Blood splattered from Ares's mouth, and he stumbled back again.
Antonio raised the gun, pointing it directly at Ares's head. Ares's heart pounded in his chest, but his gaze never wavered from Antonio's.
"Don't worry, I'll keep Martina safe," Antonio said, his voice calm and deadly. The words struck Ares like a physical blow, his eyes widening in shock and fury.
