Book 1: Chapter 59

La Guarida Del León, Sebastian's chambers

Gabriella groaned, her eyes fluttering open slowly as she took in her environment. She was in a room with a high ceiling and intricate moldings, a grand fireplace, plush furnishings, and a tasteful artwork of a butterfly on the wall. 

It took a moment before Gabriella's memory slowly sank in, and she realized she was in an unfamiliar room. The last thing she remembered was getting on that helicopter with Sebastian and blacking out afterward.

Her eyes widened as she realized Sebastian was nowhere in sight, but her fear was far from over when she looked to the side and saw her left hand was cuffed to the edge of the bed. 

She sat up immediately and touched the cuff trying to get break free from the cuff, but it was too tight. She struggled and pulled, but it wouldn't budge. 

Panic set in as she scanned the room, searching for any sign of Sebastian or a way out, anything that she could help her break
