Chapter 125. Descendants of Eve
A spear launches across the room, forcing her to look back. “You better be alert because you’re not fighting me this time,” Carter yells from across the room. She curses him under her breath, trying her best to avoid all the attacks from wherever they are coming from.
She suddenly becomes an acrobat, dodging arrows launched at her. “Fuck you, Carter, I can’t remember the last time I did stunts like this,” she yells. His snickers echo through the room, making Lara’s blood boil even more.
Halting suddenly, she softly places her hand on her left cheek. A warm crimson liquid oozes—blood, her blood. She rolls her tongue in between her teeth.
