Chapter 124. Seduction Strategy

The environment is so silent that if a pin dropped, it might make a great deal of noise. The men’s breaths are uneven, yet steady. Lara maintains eye contact with the woman who tries to humiliate her but ends up embarrassing himself instead.

Lara puts on a cocky smile and taps the table, making the men jolt at her sudden reaction. “I don’t think there are any more questions or reactions, are there?” She smiles.

No one dares to make a sound. Lara steals a glance at Carter. He seems to be enjoying the show put on by Lara; she manages to put them in their place by stamping down her authority.

The meeting ends quicker than expected, probably due to the freight Lara has instilled in their hearts. As they rise to take their leave, Lara’s voice halts them.

“Oh, lest I forget, I have already started my physical training, and whoever you have hired as your spy should do a better job at hiding themselves, and getting intel about me,” she reports, passing a stern glare
