Chapter 140. Faces

{At Lara’s home}

The quest to look for her mother had begun the very first day she found out her mom was alive, tracking the IP address was her very first resort but it all leads to different codes which is very difficult to trace without a motherboard.

Since it’s a small town, she decides to look for clues through the videos but it looks like it was recorded in an enclosed place, her mind drifts away from the food she is preparing, the choking small of something burning fills her nostrils.

“Shit!” flipping off the pan from the heater, sausages that were meant for breakfast, burnt, sighing deeply, she disposes the inedible food away beginning to prepare a new batch, she hasn’t been herself since the findings of her mother being alive.

The quest making things even more difficult for her, “breakfast is ready,” her voice small barely over her normal speaking tone but she manages to increase her audibility.
