“Of course,” Grace nods, her expression serious. “What is your next plan?”

“Come, let’s discuss this in detail.” Lara suggests with apprehension, stemming from the fact that Carter had rejected her plan earlier. What if her aunt Grace, rejects her plan as well?

Would she have to drop it or would she go against her only supporters? Knowing she is bound to fail if she works alone, she hopes Lady Grace will see reasons with her.

Before long, they all settle into the comfortable chairs in the library, and Lara begins to relate her plan of seduction to them. They seem to be listening intently, their faces reflecting a mixture of concern and curiosity.
