Chapter 209. Fate or Design?

The repeated encounters begin to draw Zach's attention. He starts to wonder about this intriguing woman who seems to share his interests and frequent the same places. Perhaps, fate is whispering sweet nothings into his ears.

Eventually, he decides to take the initiative and approaches her at the café, a friendly smile plastered on his face.

"Hey, are you stalking me?” He begins, his tone light and friendly. “I couldn't help but notice we bumped into each other a lot these days."

Lara looks up, feigning surprise. "Oh, hi! It’s you! The guy from the other night, yes?”

“Indeed.”

“Great. I'm Lara. And thanks for the other night, by the way."

"Zach," he replies, extending his hand. She takes it. "Nice to officially meet you, Lara."

They chat for a while about small things. His smile is somewhat contagious aside from being gorgeous. Even the flow of their conversations surprises Lara.
