Chapter 276. Life at Midnight
It's been three hours, and there is no sign of them. He glances at the wall clock by the side, it's 3.15a.m. His gaze shifts to the open window and he sits up, his eyes shifting from angle to angle with hopes to see his lycans arriving in a car or something.
Still… Nothing.
He picks his phone and dials Leo's number but there is no response.
‘Where the hell are they?’ He wonders, regretting why he even woke up. He kisses his teeth. Knowing how wild their party nights can be, he resolves to focus on something else. Perhaps he should open his computer and see what is up with the company or something.
Some weird feeling of loneliness clamps down on him. He heaves, the thought of Lara crossing his mind. Then, his supposed fiance, Claire. He has not even heard from her since the incident.
”So much for love, eh?” He mutters to himself. Maybe she doesn't know he is out yet and he shouldn't be too hard on her.
