Chapter 60. I See Me

Standing in front of a wide and circular mirror, the image of herself greets her. She smiles at the beautiful woman in front of her, taking care to observe the few pimples that have appeared just above her brows. If not for her condition she would have presumed her period was close. But well…

She lifts her gray sweat shirt, examining her belly which have started showing signs of protrusion. When she observes her very visible linear nigra, she sighs. At least her skin is still flawless for now. She smiles while brushing off strands of curly raven hair from her face.

“I am still beautiful.” She reassures herself. Then, a though flies past her. Why is she even in the bathroom checking her looks again? It cannot because of that doctor, is it? No way. She adjusts her shirt and ensures that her blue jean pants are properly fitted. Then, she hears her name.
