Chapter 49. The Only Refuge I Have

GIANNA’S POV

“What the hell happened Gianna?” Rio asks as he stares me up and down, his nostrils fuming with anger as he looks me up and down. I understand that although Rio was attracted to me, one of the major reasons he put up with me is because I had something to offer him.

I had the comfort of living in my father’s house and passing on necessary information to Rio. I was useful and now, now that I got caught and shot my own brother, he doesn’t have any use for me anymore except for the fact that I’m something pretty for him to look at and obviously he’s going to get tired of that soon.

I have to find a way to still be useful to him. I have to find a way to find a place for myself permanently in his circle. If not, then I won’t have anywhere to go and right now, I’m sure m father and Dante are out of their minds trying to find me.
