Chapter 55. I Saw Her

ISABELLA’S POV

“I told you it was just food poisoning.”

“Well maybe I was hoping you’d be pregnant.” He says to me with a straight face that stops me in my tracks and makes me snap my head at him.

“What?” I ask with a small giggle. “Do you even know how pregnancy works, Mr. Giuseppe?? For that to happen, I would have to go off my birth control.” I explain to him.

I look at the tall, muscular and strong man standing in front of me and wonder what type of father he would be. When I first met Dante, I would have probably thought something different. But I know him now, and I know for sure that he would be an impeccable father. Dante is loving, caring and he shows it, but it hasn’t been a year since we met and he’s only 23 and I’m still 20. Sometimes, with all the responsibilities and problems we have, I forget about the fact that we’re just young adults.
