MADELYN’S POV

Who would have thought that I would come across him on this day? At this point, I felt like my whole world was crumbling.

Why did it have to be him that I saw, and why did it have to be him on a day like this?

He looked just as surprised to see me as he took off his glasses.

Today was the worst. After receiving the news that my father left nothing for me, now I have to go through this? I have to see the one man that I never want to come across.
