Being a five-star hotel, the quality of the vegetables was paramount. Regular greenhouses couldn’t meet the standards; only the best would do, which required a substantial investment.
However, he couldn’t stop these people. Even if they managed to physically overpower the villagers, which was unlikely given their numbers, the hotel was clearly at fault in this situation. Resorting to violence wasn’t an option.
And at this point, calling the police would likely make matters worse, further angering the villagers and prompting them to act immediately.
As the situation grew increasingly tense, no one noticed that, not far from the greenhouses, a small group of people was watching the commotion from behind a cluster of trees on a nearby hill.
One of them was Mark Martinze, who hadn’t gone to work at the hotel that day. Beside him stood David Anderson, the hotel’s financial director, wearing glasses.
