I woke with a jolt, my heart pounding, and immediately felt the residual tension in my bones—my wolf, Allison, had been on edge all night. Between her restless pacing and the faint growls echoing in my mind, I’d gotten almost no sleep. I heaved a sigh, swung my legs over the side of the bed, and pushed myself up.
