Chapter 117. Meeting Mom
It felt like it was a dream, if he was being honest. Maddox stood there, looking at his mother. In that moment, all the anger and rage disappeared; locked away in his part of his mind to be used later.
“Maddox,” The woman said, tears streaming down her face as she rushed towards him, pulling him in an embrace. She hugged him tightly, her heart pounding in her chest and emotions flooding her.
He stood there, just in shock; his brain was trying to process all of this. How could this be real? It wasn’t, right? For years, he had made peace with the fact that he had lost his mom and dad. But to have his mother hugging him in a tight embrace was so confusing and comforting at the same time.
He didn’t hug her back at first.
He just stood there, trying to mentally chew on it all. But then he slowly wrapped his arms around her and hugged her back. He was much bigger and taller than her now. The last time he had seen her, she had been towering over him instead.
