Chapter 185. Poison Tree

The house was quiet. It was usually not very noisy, but this kind of quiet was different. This one made Selena feel so uncomfortable. And it had her even missing Cassie who used to treat her like sh*t.

Knowing the girl had been lost forever to being a vampire made the omega very sad. Then the dark prophecy was also very much alive more than ever. And let’s not forget that the alpha had just lost his mother.

Everything just seemed very heavy. It made sense as to why the beta had decided to go for a run. Selena wished that she could, too. And she knew that she could, no one would stop her. But she was way too tired, and besides, she knew that she would have to wake up early for training.

So yeah, running was not an option right now.

She made her way out of the mansion and towards the garden, the cold of the night licking the back of her neck. It was not chilly, the temperature was actually perfect. That was kind of the only thing that was right at the moment, e
