Chapter 207. Freedom and Numbness

Everyone waited with bated breath to hear what the councilmen had to say, especially Vance. They all had their eyes on him, and he knew that. He was used to the attention, and he liked it, but he knew that he needed to focus.

He glanced at his daughter for a second, who was the only reason that he was even doing all of this, before looking back to the police chief. He cleared his throat and began, “Like we also discussed, Alpha Maddox will face trial. A date will be set for it, and until then, he will be allowed to post bail to be free.”

The woman swallowed, sighing before running her hand through her hair. “Alright, I hear you. But there should be rules while he awaits trial. He is not allowed to leave the town or pack; if he does, he will be arrested, and everything that was agreed upon concerning the trial will be thrown out the window. That’s one of the rules,” She explained. “I will write up the other ones and have them sent to you.”
