Chapter 64. The Cold Floor

Selena groaned, and her eyes opened slowly as she heard two men talking. The voices sounded unfamiliar at first, but then she recognized who they were—Maddox and Leon.

She was beyond wasted, and she felt sick to her stomach. Her vision was dizzy, and her body felt beaten. “I need to puke,” she tried to speak, but her voice came out frail and quiet. She needed to be louder, or she was going to vomit all over the car seat. And that was something that she didn’t want to do.

“Is there any proof that it was self-defense?” Leon asked.

“Man, there were a bunch of people recording. I was drunk, but I’m sure a lot of people recorded the fight. It’s probably going to be all over the internet by morning,” the Alpha replied.

Selena tried to get up but soon fell back onto the seat. That was when the guys turned their attention over to her.
