Chapter 107
Gabbie POV
The black wolf’s nose was covered in blood. I heard footsteps and shouts. We had to move quickly
“Come on!” I urged.
He climbed off Kahn and strolled out without me. I followed him down a dark hall. What about Leiah and Emery?
“Wait, my friends,” I said.
He sniffled and pointed down the hall. I didn’t know if following a strange wolf was wise, but he saved my life. We could come up with a plan when we were out in the open.
The wolf led me through the dark hall with closed doors and silent walls. Eventually, we came to a door that led to a store room. It was full of barrels of liquor and wine. Moonlight shone through a hole in the ground.
The wolf crawled through the hole in the ground and disappeared. I got on my knees and followed. We made it outside to the bitter cold. The sounds of wolves engaged in fierce battle pierced the night.
