Gabbie POV
“I always forget you have an aunt. How come you never speak about her?” I asked.
“I’ve only met her a handful of times. She wasn’t around growing up.”
“And you think she has information on your uncle?” I asked as I stuffed my cheeks with cashews. “Did you bring my marshmallows?”
Kade smirked. “Of course I did, and your yoghurt and the popcorn.”
“You make it seem like I eat too much,” I frowned.
“You can eat as much as you like.” He gripped the wheel with one hand and leaned over to kiss my cheek.
“Does she know we’re coming?” I asked.
“Uh… this will be a surprise, but she said I was welcome any time.”
I don’t like the idea of just popping up at someone’s house, especially Kade’s relatives. I didn’t have the best track record with them. I tried to remain optimistic, but at some point I fell asleep.
