Chapter 209
Stormy POV
“Hey, it was nothing. Rain always messes me up— Hey, are you okay? What happened? Did he move?”
“N-No, I touched him and I…”
How do I explain what happened without sounding insane?
“I don’t know what happened.”
My attempts to piece the images together in my head resulted in a headache.
“Okay, let’s get out of here,” Alex said.
Alex scooped me off the ground and held me to his chest. He kissed my forehead. I clung to his shirt. It was back into the rain for us.
When we got back to the house, Alex lit up the fireplace. I peeled off my damp clothes and settled in front of the crackling flame. Alex settled behind me and wrapped me in his arms.
“I’ll keep you warm.”
I snickered. “You just don’t want me to put on clothes.”
“I won’t lie. You don’t need them anyway.”
He kissed my shoulders, neck and cheek. I snuggled into him and settled.
“Do you want to tell me what you saw?” he asked
