Chapter 208

Stormy POV

I woke up to an empty bed and the curtains still drawn. What time had Alex left? I opened the curtains to reveal a grey and gloomy sky.

“Looks like it’s going to come down hard,” I said with a sigh.

“Where could he be?”

I can’t believe I’m actually living with my boyfriend. What do I do? Make breakfast for us? The food at the institute wasn’t anything to rave about, nor was the food at my foster home, but I could at least come up with something.

I wandered into the kitchen. Gosh, this house smelled like him.

He was such a minimalist. The only colours in the house were black and white. He had a huge TV on the wall and a few pictures scattered around.

The kitchen was better than I expected. I found food. So Alex called ahead and asked someone to stock up. I was happy to know he didn’t plan on starving me.

I found oatmeal and easy-to-make steaks in the freezer.

“Sounds like Alex.”
