“Don’t stop!” Hazel yelled.

“I can’t keep going, they busted the back tyres.”

Xavier kept going for as long as possible, but with the pace the wolves were going at, they could cause us to crash into a tree.

“I’m going to stop the car, and you girls are going to shift and run like hell! I don’t give a shit where you go. The deal ends here, and I’m going my separate way.”

“Oh, such a gentleman,” Hazel murmured. “Wait, Stormy, you can’t shift.”

I stared at the vile that would break my curse.

This wasn’t how I wanted to try a very powerful potion!

Xavier parked the car. “See ya’ girls!”

He jumped out of the car seconds later. The wolves outside roared furiously.

Hazel jumped. “It feels safer in here!”

“Maybe they’ll just take us back to the asylum?”

“We can’t go back. We have to run!”
