Chapter 23

Kade POV

I let my guard down. I blamed my wolf. He couldn’t stay away from her. I arrived at the castle and found the guys training. People were taking battle season seriously. I should be too, but I had an omega on my mind. We had only been apart for thirty minutes, but I wanted to break into the omega quarters and steal her for another session by the lake. Now that I had a feel of her I wouldn’t be able to keep myself at bay.

“Hey, mind if I join?” I asked.

“Sure, I’d love to kick your ass,” Gareth said.

“I’m in a mood Gareth. I wouldn’t expect that.”

“Anger clouds judgment Kade,” Gareth smirked.

It wasn’t rage. It was sexual frustration.

I didn’t feel like changing into a uniform. I grabbed a staff from Paul.

“This should be good.” One of the guys said.

“Oh, it will.” Gareth was cocky. It was the reason I didn’t take him seriously as an opponent.

“Kade!” Someone bellowed my name.

“What?!” I barked.
