Gabbie POV

Walking around in my boyfriend’s clothes was an awkward experience but this was a conversation I couldn’t put off any longer. Dad was given a room at the lecturer’s tower. It was tucked near the forest, far from McGregor Academy.

All the lecturers were busy so the place was abandoned. Except for a sharp feminine voice. I stopped and stared at the partly open door.

“When are you leaving?” Headmistress Athena snapped.

“When I catch the wolf. I’m not going to leave it to roam free,” Dad replied.

My heart slammed forward. I inched closer.

“Are you insane! When they find out you’re here there will be chaos!”

“When they do find out I’m here they’ll be anxious about what they did not about my presence.”

“You’re not thinking about your daughter.”

“I’m always thinking about Gabriella. I wanted her to be safe instead she mates a shifter. An Alpha too.”

“Well, what did you expect?”

“I didn’t think it
