Gabbie POV

“Let me go, Gareth!” I yelled.

He locked my arms behind my back and kept me from darting onto the field.

“What are you going to do? You can’t help him.”

Kade was down fighting off the Alpha from Mandy. Why wouldn’t he fight? What was he waiting for? He’s better than this.

It felt like the crowd held their breaths as Kade struggled to gain control.

Holden watched with a clenched jaw as his Alpha was momentarily subdued.

Ivan was stretchered off minutes ago. At least he was alive.

I knew Leiah wanted to be with him, but she couldn’t.

“Hey, Gabbie,” Alex said.

Gareth released me only for me to rush into Alex’s arms.

“Why won’t he do anything?” I asked.

“Relax, Kade wouldn’t go out like this.” Alex wrapped me in his arms and stroked my hair.

“If he does I’ll give him shit for the rest of his life,” Gareth puffed.

I wiped my tears and remembered Leiah was around. I knew they br
