Chapter 67
Gabbie POV
I woke with a start. A flash of white hair was the last thing I saw before I opened my eyes to a dark room. I palmed the space beside me. It was empty.
“Kade!” I held the blanket to my chest.
“I’m here, I’m here.”
He slipped into bed and pulled me close. He kissed my cheek several times as he stroked the back of my neck.
“I went to the bathroom.”
“What time is it?”
“Three in the morning. I may have knocked you out with Alpha power. I forget you’re not the best recipient of it.”
“Oh,” I panted.
“It’s okay Gabbie. I’m here. I won’t let anything happen to you.”
I nodded but the overwhelming sense of anxiety wouldn’t understand his words. I felt like a sitting duck in this school. Harlow gained the help of a wolf who tried to assault me during the omega ceremony. There would be more wolves who wanted to take advantage of me because I didn’t have a wolf but I couldn’t leave Kade.
