“Do you have a thing for forests?” I asked.
He shrugged. “Been running through the woods since I could walk.”
Of course, he had. The violent wind felt like a bad omen, but despite the scent of danger in the wind, the whole truth needed to see the light and breathe again.
“I know you’re a Hunter,” I blurted.
He gave me a firm nod.
“Now that Aiden knows things are complicated for Kade and me.”
“It worked for your Mother and me,” he said.
He stuck his long knife into the ground and settled on a rock.
“Hunting is in our blood. That’s why it comes so naturally, you might have noticed.”
