Gabbie POV

 The doctor confirmed Kade had broken his leg. The problem was we weren’t at a shifter hospital, and they were bound to notice when Kade’s burns and cuts started healing at a rate faster than the human rate. They wanted to keep him in overnight, but that couldn’t happen.

Since Kade was an Alpha, he would fully recover from the broken leg with minimal pain, but it would still need time to heal. If I had broken my leg, it would have taken a month to heal, and it would have hurt like hell.

“Is it true? Someone tried to kill Kade?” Leiah blasted as soon as she got off the elevator.

“Volume, Leiah,” Gareth hushed.

He grabbed her shoulder and led her towards the waiting area. It was a quiet day, but the nurses were wandering around, and the last thing we needed was for the human police to get involved.

“How did you hear?” I asked.

The only ones who were at the house were Tristan, Gareth and Emery.
