Chapter 78

Bridget’s POV

I’m so excited we could find Sammy. I’m even happier that she was more than excited to come with us. I don’t look into her mind to figure out what is going on, but the biggest sign, like always, is that she is living in the city with humans. Most werewolves won’t live in the city unless they have to. I also feel it is something personal, so I won’t look. However, I know Ford did, and if it is something important, he will tell me.

As Ford and I walk through the halls of the pack house on our way to Wyatt’s office, he slides his arm around my waist and tentatively asks, “Baby, do you think we should try to find Scott’s mate again? The one that if you blink, you will miss him.”

I sigh. I have been trying for several days, and I keep coming up with nothing. It is almost like something is blocking me from figuring out the Supreme Elder’s riddle.
