Book 2: Unable to Leave Her

Felixe’s POV

I crept behind the snow-covered hedgerows nearby to hide from Hera. I didn’t want to disturb her with my presence, but I was helpless. Ever since Zephyrus informed me about her pregnancy, I just couldn’t leave her here and go back.

Dan tried his best and left reluctantly for our village, but I stayed on, stalking Hera without her knowledge. I knew Zephyrus was too preoccupied with Lena’s disappearance to find out about me. I saw him heading towards Annabeth, the witch’s house. Maybe he wouldn’t return here tonight.
