Stavros’s POV

As we reached the summit, we saw the vast stretch of boreal forests below us, on the other side. 

“That’s Shadow Ridge, the territory of Alpha Leonardo and his Shadowridge Pack. He might have seen Lena. Let’s ask him,” said Leandros. 

“Leonardo Grenier?” Zephyrus asked. I knew him too. He was Zephyrus’s childhood friend who had fled with his family on the night of the attack. 

“Yes, the one and only!” confirmed Leandros. 

“Great! Let’s go.” 

“Wait! What’s that?” I saw a sudden flutter of activity from the boreal forests below us. Birds were flying in all directions in confusion. Even the animals escaped as if to save their lives by taking shelter elsewhere. We exchanged glances, expecting the worst. Was it an indication of danger? 

“I think I can see Leonardo’s pack members running below us,” said Leandros, and we watched them run haphazardly in panic. There was absolute mayhem all
