Chapter 8

Draco lay in bed long after he had woken up, unsure if he wanted to go out of his bedroom. He had tossed restlessly on his bed after he got inside due to Mia’s love confession. He had not been expecting that, even though sleep had eventually given him the relief he needed to get over it. He woke up, churning the thoughts sleep had eroded from his head the previous night.

“Aish!” He groaned, running his hand through his hair, and pulled at it.

Maybe he would stay all day in the room. He wished he had somewhere to go, but the mage didn’t want him until some days after, so he was stuck at the inn unless he wanted to check out and move to another – something he knew he couldn’t afford to do.

His stomach grumbled loudly, and he placed his hands unconsciously on it. He sighed, closing his eyes in frustration. He felt more hungry than ever before. He realized he couldn’t stay in bed all day if he wanted to survive to the next day to get the potion the mage was preparing f
