William’s POV
I turned on my mobile phone, and thousands of missed calls came in. I hadn’t turned on my phone because I didn’t want to be tempted to talk to Scarlett and share the good news. The plan was to tell her when we were face to face, to tell her that she had nothing to worry about, that everything would be fine because I had no intention of getting married.
I was happy, and I couldn’t wait to tell her. I left my phone aside, convinced that now was not the time to look at it. It would be the same old story. I didn’t think it would be a good idea to read other people’s messages either; maybe they were calling to check if I was okay. And I was, better than ever.
