Chapter 42. Meeting the Fairy
“Evangeline felt a strange peace of mind as soon as she entered. It was as if all her troubles had been washed away, and the air seemed cleaner.
Her gaze surveyed the inside of the temple, which was pristine white, seemingly without a single speck of dust. The floor was so clean that it appeared untouched, as if no one had ever walked on it.
Inside, four pillars stood, two on the left and two on the right. Evangeline couldn’t discern the material they were made from, as they were translucent and pure white.
Behind these pillars was an altar, seamlessly carved into the wall. Upon the altar, Evangeline saw the Moon Pearl suspended in midair without any visible support, emitting a radiant silver light.
In front of the Moon Pearl stood the fairy, and behind her was a temple girl in white with brown hair. This girl’s features exuded a cold demeanor; she spared a glance at Evangeline before returning her attention to the fairy. It was evident that not all the fairy
