Eros's POV
Words failed mamá, and she covered her face and broke down completely. “For years I wanted to hear you call me mamá.” My heart broke for what she had to endure. Strangely, I wasn’t surprised, as if my heart already had known it.
“I have always looked up to you as my mamá. My heart couldn’t have accepted anyone else, even if you weren’t. So I’m relieved to hear this, actually. Aren’t you happy, mamá?”
I hugged her while the others stood frozen, watching us with apprehension. I couldn’t look at my dad for what he made my mamá go through. It was inhuman. He should have trusted and married her long ago if he had loved her.
She wiped her eyes and hugged me back. “Yes, son. Today, I’m the happiest mother alive.”
