Book 3: Meeting Anacá Again
Eros's POV
I froze at the sight of Lucy on my doorstep. Just when I was at the crossroads, she appeared like a guiding light, a guardian angel. She sensed my presence and turned to see me. My eyes filled up with tears, and my throat choked with emotions I couldn’t control.
I kneeled and opened my arms for Lucy. She ran into them, licking my face and wagging her tail with happiness. “I’m so happy to see you, Lucy.” I stroked her head, her ears, but she caught my trousers in her mouth and tugged.
I frowned at her behavior. She had behaved similarly when Anacá was in trouble. Fear gripped my heart. Why was Lucy here so late at night? Had something untoward happened to Anacá? Did Lucy come here for help?
I rose as she pulled me towards the car, whimpering a little. “Do you want me to go to Anacá’s house?”
