Book 4: Instigating Me?
Sydney's POV
He led me out of the hotel onto the pedestrian-friendly lane lined with shops and cafés on either side. Hand in hand we walked down Adrianou Street, taking a detour to Kidathineon Street. The quaint alleyways and neoclassical homes were truly admirable.
“It’s a different world altogether!” I wanted to add how romantic it was, but restrained myself at the last minute. It didn’t look like Killian had a romantic bone in his body.
“Do you like Athens better than LA or Cape Town?” He smiled, pulling me uphill towards Anafiotika, a hidden Cycladic-style neighborhood tucked beneath the Acropolis.
“I like to explore other places, but LA is home. It’s the place I would always return to, no matter what.” It didn’t matter that my dad lived there. I loved my city. It was where I had memories of my mom. They gave me a sense of belonging to the place.
