Book 5: Exclusively His?

“What do you think it means?” His voice was raspy with desire as he regarded Iris with hooded eyes. 

She could sense what his offer implied, but he had to say it. “You want me to work only for you. That’s fine since I can’t do double duty elsewhere while living here.” 

He gaped at her for a minute before shaking his head in disappointment. “No, that’s not what I meant.” 

Iris stared at him with wide eyes, feigning ignorance. “Oh, then?” 

“You will belong to me, body, mind, and soul. For five years, you will please me sexually as and when I want you to. There won’t be another man in your life other than me. Do you get it now, Iris?” He leaned forward, his gaze searing into her soul. 

A tremor coursed through her body at the thought. Strangely, it wasn’t completely out of fear. Why did she feel excited at the prospect of belonging to such a gorgeous and powerful man? Yet, this wasn’t right. “I’m not ready for this, Mr. Laurier.”
